Charles Arn (Ed.D.) lives in Temple City, CA; a suburb of Los Angeles. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in September, 1950, grew up in Portland, Oregon and attended Seattle Pacific University (Seattle, Washington) from 1968 - 1972. He completed his Masters and Doctoral degree from the University of Southern California (Los Angeles, California) majoring in Instructional Design and Technology. Dr. Arn became actively involved in the church growth movement as his father, Dr. Win Arn, began to pioneer to study and application of church growth principles to North America in the early 1970s. (see History of CGI) Upon completion of his doctoral work, Charles began working full-time with his father at Church Growth, Inc., specializing in research and new product development. In 1989 Charles assumed the presidency of CGI upon his father’s retirement. In the past 25 years Dr. Arn has written numerous articles in the field of church growth, and is author or co-author of 6 books. He has developed 14 different lay/clergy training seminars and produced 10 special topic study kits. Dr. Arn is a widely traveled speaker, known for his creative presentations, and considered one of the leading authorities and spokesperson in the field of church growth. Dr. Arn is married. His wife, Ann, teaches 2nd grade in Arcadia, California. He and his wife are members of Lake Avenue Congregational Church in Pasadena, California. (See Dr. Arn’s resume for more information.) Bob Phillips is Vice President of CGI. He specializes in lay leadership training, conducting weekend conferences, vision-casting retreats, and leading churches through the strategic planning process. Bob is a retired successful executive, having worked in leadership training positions within several industries. He is a member of Lake Avenue Congregational Church in Pasadena, California. Michelle Palmer is the friendly voice on the other end of the phone when you call CGI (626-305-1280). Michelle lives in Temple City, California, is married and has one 5 year old boy. Michelle is a member of First Baptist Church in Temple City. Danielle Yoon will help answer any questions you may have on financial issues. Danielle was born in Korea, and recently completed her Masters at Fuller Seminar. Danielle was also recently married to Kim Sun. She lives in Pasadena, California and is a member of the Korean Presbyterian Church in Roland Heights, California.
