In 13 one-hour sessions, participants learn how to practice intentional Christian love. They examine what Christian love really is, and how to express it. They identify "love obstacles" that can stop the flow of God's love. Seven simple, yet powerful steps to loving are studied. Finally the class learns how to create a church environment where love flourishes.

Growing in Love is written in 13 one-hour sessions. It is therefore ideal as an adult education class. Many churches use the course in their small home cell groups. The course is appropriate for new members' orientation. It may also be effectively used for Sunday evening or mid-week training classes.
